Malgosia Bela

Malgosia Bela was born in Poland she was encouraged by her parents to model at a young age. She moved to New York City in 1998 and was soon spotted by Jil Sander who booked her exclusively for the label’s runway show. Her career was off to a flying start, Vogue Italy dedicated its entire issue to the young model, shot by the some of the biggest photographers in the business including Steven Meisel, Peter Lindbergh, Paolo Roversi and Mario Testino, she posed at a young age for the cover of the Vogue Paris beauty issue, and then again for editorials inside the magazine shot by Ruven Afanador.

Malgosia also appeared in a clutch of advertising campaigns from Jil Sander to Lanvin, by way of Cerruti, Alberta Ferretti, and Versace, as well as numerous runway shows for the biggest fashion houses around the world, including Yves Saint Laurent, Valentino and Armani.

After a good start as model Malgosia decide to move in acting careers in Polish feature films, such as Karol – The Pope, the Man, about the Polish Pope John Paul II, putting her modeling career on hold.

In 2006, Malgosia made her return as a model in major fashion campaigns such as H&M, Louis Vuitton, and Chloé. She was shot nude for the Pirelli calendar by Peter Beard in 2009 and Mario Sorrenti in 2012.

In 2011, Malgosia Bela became the new face for Chloé’s Spring/Summer 2012 collection, next to Iselin Steiro. and also walked for Louis Vuitton for Fall/Winter 2011. A regular in Vogue Paris, Malgosia Bela has appeared in numerous editorial shoots by David Sims, Mert & Alas Piggott and Inez & Vinoodh.
